Men's Hockey Heads to Chatham for Non-Conference Contest

The Buffalo State men's hockey team looks to build on its dominant 6-2 victory over Fredonia in the Battle by the Lake on Friday when the Bengals head to Pittsburgh, PA for a non-conference matchup with Chatham University.

EYES ON THE BENGALS

  • Andrew Logar (Niagara Falls, NY/Corpus Christi Ice Rays) recorded his first collegiate hat trick in the aforementioned victory over Fredonia, pushing the Bengals to 10-7-0 overall on the season. Joe Glamos (Baldwinsville, NY/New Jersey Titans) had two goals and two assists in the game, earning SUNYAC Athlete of the Week honors for his performance.
  • Glamos now has registered multiple points games in five of the last seven games for Buffalo State, totaling 13 points on six goals and seven assists in those contests.
  • Emil Norrman (Kungsbacka, Sweden/Dells Ducks) leads the SUNYAC with 562 saves this season, and his .934 save percentage is second best in the conference.
  • The Bengals are 24th in the country with 3.47 goals per game, and hold an 8-0-0 record in games in which they have scored at least four goals.

  • Chatham enters with a 10-4-2 overall record after defeating Stevenson in its last game on Saturday evening in overtime.
  • Ricardo Gonzalez has backstopped Chatham to a 2.45 goals against average and .920 save percentage, as well as two shutouts this season.  
  • The Cougars hold a 5-1-0 record in games taking place at The Hunt Armory Ice Rink, the site of tonight's contest.
THE HISTORY

  • Buffalo State holds a slight 2-1 edge over Chatham all-time, but the Cougars defeated the Bengals 7-3 in the last meeting of the teams during the 2021-22 season.
