56 percent of applicants to the University at Buffalo were admitted for fall 2018

At the University at Buffalo, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Buffalo enrolled 31,503 students in fall 2018, including 21,607 in undergraduate and 9,896 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

87 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 2 percent are residents of other states. 11 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (47 percent) and Asian (15 percent).

The school admitted 56 percent of the 31,196 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 24 percent enrolled.
