Senator Patrick M. Gallivan has announced that the Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC) has approved financial assistance for water infrastructure projects in West Seneca and the Town of Concord. The EFC Board's decision enables municipalities to access low-cost financing and previously announced grants to support essential water and sewer infrastructure improvements.

"The state’s investment will make these projects more affordable and manageable for local governments," stated Senator Gallivan. "By working together on projects like these, we can better protect our environment, upgrade wastewater treatment facilities and help ensure water quality."

In West Seneca, a $3.8 million state grant has been allocated for sanitary sewer improvements in Sewer Districts 5 and 13. Meanwhile, the Town of Concord will benefit from $4.9 million in interest-free financing along with a $1.175 million state grant for the planning, design, and construction of the Kissing Bridge and Craneridge Wastewater Treatment Plants consolidation project.

The EFC's approval includes grants from the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds, which combine federal and state resources dedicated to financing community water infrastructure initiatives. This strategic use of federal funding alongside state investments aims to maximize each dollar's impact, empowering local communities to implement critical system enhancements necessary for resident safety.
