East Aurora High School issued the following announcement on April 21.
1. Our next and final, packet pick-up will be this Thursday April 23rd from 11am-4pm at Parkdale. We will follow the same format as we did for the pick-up on March 18th. Please pull up by the loading dock and do not exit your vehicle.
2. Chromebooks - For Grades 1-4: All students in Grades 1-4 have their own assigned Chromebook. We will be sending these home with families this Thursday (unless you let me know that you really don’t want it). When student’s use their EAUFSD-assigned Chromebook, our school filters are used (even when they’re at home) and it’s easier for students to log into certain websites we use such as BrainPop, Freckle, Reading A-Z etc.
3. Parkdale Faculty and Staff are planning a Parkdale Pride Parade with the theme SPRING HAS SPRUNG! We’d like to see the smiling faces of all of our students at a safe distance of course!
a. Date: Wednesday April 22nd to begin at 9am at Parkdale
b. Route: Map here (If we are not traveling on your street, please find the closest place that we are traveling and feel free to watch us from there. Please continue to follow social distancing and face mask laws if you have to leave your house to watch the parade. Above is the route we will be taking, however, we will be traveling in both directions as we have been asked to split up our parade because it has grown to 60+ cars. We’ll be sure to honk as we’re approaching so you know we’re coming!! )
c. Details: Families are encouraged to participate in a Spring has Sprung “scavenger hunt”, searching for and recording the number of each spring picture they find on our cars (the pictures will be taped to our back windows)! Here is a tally sheet you can use or you can make your own with some paper at home!
d. Finally, here is a link to a Google Form that you can fill out to submit your final picture tally counts (by 6pm on Wed.)!
e. One idea to make sure we follow social distancing laws is to find somewhere along the route to park your car on the side of road and wave to us as we drive by!
f. Please email Mrs. Howe (ahowe@eak12.org) or Ms. Stabell (cstabell@eak12.org) with any questions. Thank you!
4. Be sure to continue to check your child’s Google Classroom. Teachers will be posting assignments this week. Also - please join a Parkdale Specials separate classroom using code zy46of5 - PE, Art, Music, Library and Computer Literacy Assignments will be posted here starting April 20th.

7. **A tip to keep track of what is due for students: When in Google Classroom, click the three horizontal lines in the top left corner and then select “To-do” and it shows you what your child(ren) still needs to do!**
