Postponed1000x667

Grand Island recnetly issued the following announcement.

Pinto Sanitation and the Town of Grand Island will be hosting an electronic waste recycling event on August 8th, from 9am-5pm at the Town Hall parking lot.

There is No Charge for Grand Island residents to recycle their old electronics (with proof of residency). There will be a $50 flat rate fee for CRT (tube-type) TVs and computer monitors.

We’ve collected over 100,000 lbs of electronics our first 2 years!

Please remember: In accordance with the disposal ban requirements of Section 27-2611 of the Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act, on January 1st, 2015, it is unlawful for residential households in New York State to place electronic equipment at the curb for disposal. These items cannot end up in our Landfills.

Pinto Cares about our community and wants to help the residents of Grand Island recycle and properly dispose of their old Electronics, TV’s and E waste. Pinto will sponsor E waste drives each year to collect electronics and TV’s.

As always, you can contact us for more information.
