On Wednesday, March 26, former Eden High School standout Lydia Kobie’s current college team, the Tiffin Dragons, won 9-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Northwood Timberwolves.
The game took place at Fisher Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Timberwolves this season.
The Dragons’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 at 4 p.m. at Fisher Stadium against Northwood Timberwolves.
The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Ottawa Senators and missed an immediate chance to clinch a playoff spot. Their next opportunity comes Saturday against Washington as they remain tied with Tampa Bay atop their division.
The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Maxim Strbak to a three-year entry-level contract starting in the 2026-27 season. Strbak played college hockey at Michigan State University and has represented Slovakia internationally.
Kyle Buchanan led with six points as Buffalo defeated Rochester for its seventh straight win. The victory included milestone achievements for several players amid key lineup changes. Team awards were also announced before an enthusiastic home crowd.
