Senator Gallivan participated in several votes during the week of March 3, 2025, in the New York State Senate. A range of bills addressing various issues was approved or rejected, with Senator Gallivan's stance noted on each.

The bill S270, which allows municipalities to alienate certain parklands without legislative authorization for renewable energy projects under two megawatts, received support from Senator Gallivan. He also voted in favor of S279, adding Moodna Creek to the definition of inland waterways for revitalization purposes.

S925, increasing penalties for violations related to vacant properties maintenance, was supported by Gallivan. He opposed S464 concerning limitations on using artistic expressions as evidence in criminal trials.

Senator Gallivan backed several initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public services: S641 mandates weatherization program plans by utility companies; S2157 requires municipal housing authorities to report financial information annually; and S593 provides agricultural assessments for farms.

Bills focusing on health and consumer protections also saw support from Gallivan. These included measures like S11 requiring prenatal screening notices and S1104 promoting consumer litigation funding protections. Additionally, he supported legislative changes regarding computer-related offenses (S3693) and payroll fund misappropriation (S4188).

Gallivan voted against several proposals such as S115 aimed at diversifying arts resources and S654 exempting schools from early voting site designations due to local decision-making concerns. Another opposition came against wage theft liability expansions proposed in S4611 due to potential increased costs for businesses.

Further backing was given by Gallivan to measures expanding definitions within labor laws (S2236), increasing statutory bond ceilings (S1235A), and revising lead standards (S122). Other supported bills addressed environmental initiatives like battery recycling (S73) and anti-bias training requirements in healthcare education (though he opposed this last one due to perceived redundancy).

The comprehensive list of bills reflects a broad spectrum of policy areas tackled during this legislative session with Senator Gallivan playing an active role through his votes.
