During the week of February 10, 2025, a series of bills were presented and voted on in the New York State Senate. Senator Gallivan's votes on these bills have been recorded.

Senator Gallivan supported several initiatives, including S761, which aims to create a Down syndrome awareness program for healthcare providers; S786, which requires the Department of Health to develop a program about drug-induced movement disorders; and S789, which amends Family Court Act regarding child abuse proceedings.

He also voted in favor of S819 and S822, which address surrogacy laws and regulate automated decision-making systems in government respectively. Other affirmative votes included support for labor law amendments concerning fashion workers (S823), adjustments to assisted living facilities reporting requirements (S762A), and measures related to Alzheimer's disease information dissemination (S2669).

Senator Gallivan opposed some proposals such as S783, mandating municipal websites due to concerns over unfunded mandates and implementation costs. He also rejected S801 for its cost-prohibitive requirement of electric vehicle charging stations in new constructions with off-street parking.

Additionally, Senator Gallivan approved various education-related bills aimed at expanding tuition assistance programs (S27) and supporting underrepresented teachers through recruitment programs (S519). He backed legislation that ensures disability accommodations are addressed by hospitals during patient intake (S2675) and promoted transparency in financial aid determinations by higher education services corporations (S3738).

The senator's decisions reflect a balance between supporting social welfare initiatives while expressing caution over fiscal implications associated with certain legislative mandates.
