The Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) released its All-Rookie Team this morning, selecting Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Buffalo Bisons) of the Buffalo State women's hockey team as one of the six student-athletes on the squad.
Willick completed her freshman season leading the Bengals with 15 points on a team-high nine goals, while also adding six assists. Her nine goals currently ranks 15th among all goal scorers in the NEWHL. Willick also scored in four consecutive games from November 29 to December 10, becoming the first Buffalo State player to accomplish that feat since Tristin Stetson in the 2019-20 season.
