Amherst home prices rise in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Amherst rose by $23,046 while total sales decreased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 150 homes sold, with a median sale price of $202,046 - a 12.9% increase over the $179,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 250 homes sold in Amherst in the first quarter of 2017.
