Cheektowaga town issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Cheektowaga, Erie County, New York via Virtual Meeting on the 22nd day of September, 2020 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., of said day for the purpose of considering the application of: Corey A. Re: Michael Shady - Development of an Ice Cream Shop for the rezoning of 0 Aris Avenue (SBL: 113.62-4-4) from R-Residence District to C- Retail Business District for a Development of an Ice Cream Shop.

               Since the Town is under a State of Emergency in which public gatherings are not possible, the Town will plan to hold a Virtual Public Hearing, on September 22, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. All persons wishing to provide oral comments, will be required to register to do so by Noon (12:00 P.M.) on September 18, 2020. Registration emails should be sent to the Cheektowaga Town Clerk, townclerkwebmail@tocny.org and should include the participants full name, physical address, email address, and phone number. The Town Clerk will confirm receipt of the participant's registration with the access link to provide comments. Anyone wishing to provide written comments; please email townclerkwebmail@tocny.org they will be added to the record and provided to the Board members for review prior to the hearing.

               NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, THE FORMAT OF THE PUBLIC HEARING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE, DEPENDING UPON LEGAL REQUIREMENTS EXISTING AT THE TIME OF THE HEARING ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2020.  IT MAY BE DETERMINED THAT THE HEARING WILL BE HELD IN-PERSON AT TOWN HALL, 3301 BROADWAY, CHEEKTOWAGA, NEW YORK.  INTERESTED PERSONS SHOULD CONSULT THE TOWN WEBSITE (www.tocny.org) FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING THE FORMAT OF THE HEARING PRIOR TO THE DATE THEREOF.

ALL THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND situate in the Town of Cheektowaga, County of Erie, State of New York, being part of Lot 72, Township 10, Range 7 of the Buffalo Creek Reservation, bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at a point on the westerly line of Aris Avenue (60 feet wide) distant 115.00 feet southerly form the southerly line of William Street as measured along said westerly line of Aris Avenue;

THENCE: S-01°-13’-22”-W, along the westerly line of Aris Avenue, a distance of 72.00 feet;

THENCE: N-88°-16’-38”-W, along the southerly line of Sub Lot 53 as shown on a map of The William-Harlem Land Corp. Subdivision filed in the Erie County Clerk’s Office under Map Cover 1506, a distance of 114.00 feet to the southwest corner of said Sub Lot 53;

THENCE: N-01°-13’-22”-E, along the west line Sub Lots 53 and 52 as shown on said Map Cover 1506, a distance of 72.00 feet to the northwest corner of said Sub Lot 52;
