61 percent of applicants to SUNY Buffalo State were admitted for fall 2018

At SUNY Buffalo State, 86 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Buffalo enrolled 9,118 students in fall 2018, including 8,082 in undergraduate and 1,036 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (45 percent) and Black or African American (33 percent).

The school admitted 61 percent of the 15,781 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 18 percent enrolled.
