54 percent of applicants to Daemen College were admitted for fall 2018

At Daemen College, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 70 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Amherst enrolled 2,574 students in fall 2018, including 1,739 in undergraduate and 835 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

91 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 8 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (75 percent) and Black or African American (10 percent).

The school admitted 54 percent of the 3,249 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
