Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church recently issued the following announcement.

The need is great but so are the opportunities to make a difference!

Recently, we became aware that the food pantry operated by Parkside Lutheran Church, is working to meet the growing need of some neighboring families. They posted that in one day they were contacted by 7 households, 14 adults and 6 children, some of whom shared their stories of struggle. One is dealing with cancer. In another, both parents are furloughed and their unemployment hasn't kicked in yet. Another is an elderly neighbor for whom social security is not enough after rent and other bills.

"A commonality in their stories was gratitude for this community willing to feed them in their time of need."

Lafayette Ave. Presbyterian Church is supporting Parkside's efforts.

Join us as we meet the need.

There are lots of ways to help!
