Amherst home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Amherst rose by $12,500 while total sales decreased by 10.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 310 homes sold, with a median sale price of $195,000 - a 6.8% increase over the $182,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 347 homes sold in Amherst in the fourth quarter of 2016.
