Senator Patrick M. Gallivan has announced that two veterans’ organizations in Eden, New York, will receive state grants to enhance their facilities. These grants are part of the state’s Veterans’ Nonprofit Capital Program, which funds sixteen projects across New York.

“These important grants will help ensure our veterans and military families have access to safe, updated facilities to meet and receive vital services,” Senator Gallivan stated. “The funding is also an investment in the greater Eden community, which benefits greatly from these organizations and their facilities.”

The Newell-Faulkner American Legion Post 880 is set to receive $75,000 for improvements including roof replacement, driveway enhancements, new drainage systems, and a generator installation. Similarly, VFW Eden Memorial Post 8265 will obtain $75,000 for HVAC upgrades and a generator.

These grants range from $25,000 to $75,000 and are managed by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York alongside the Department of Veterans’ Services.
