On Friday, March 7, former Lancaster High School standout Mason Cisco’s current college team, the Canisius Golden Griffins, lost 13-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
The game took place at UC Baseball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Bearcats this season.
The Golden Griffins’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 1 p.m. at UC Baseball Stadium against Cincinnati Bearcats.
The Buffalo Sabres defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 to even their playoff series at two games apiece. Zach Benson scored the winning goal during his birthday celebration as lineup changes sparked key performances across the roster.
The Buffalo Bills have named three regional winners as Girls Flag Football Coaches of the Week for outstanding leadership during week five. Honorees include Dan Hannon (Kenmore), Dennis Thomas (Padilla), and Dan Scicchitano (Central Square). Each will receive $1,000 toward their programs.
The Buffalo Bills have signed tight end Shane Zylstra to a one-year deal. Zylstra previously played for Detroit and will wear No. 48 for Buffalo this season.
