On Friday, April 18, former Williamsville North High School standout Sarah Parzych’s current college team, the D’Youville Saints, lost 3-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans.
The game took place at Spartan Field. This was their third matchup against the Spartans this season.
The Saints’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at 4:15 p.m. at Spartan Field against St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans.
The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Ottawa Senators and missed an immediate chance to clinch a playoff spot. Their next opportunity comes Saturday against Washington as they remain tied with Tampa Bay atop their division.
The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Maxim Strbak to a three-year entry-level contract starting in the 2026-27 season. Strbak played college hockey at Michigan State University and has represented Slovakia internationally.
Kyle Buchanan led with six points as Buffalo defeated Rochester for its seventh straight win. The victory included milestone achievements for several players amid key lineup changes. Team awards were also announced before an enthusiastic home crowd.
