Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced at the conclusion of training camp that quarterback Josh Allen will not participate in the team’s first preseason game against the New York Giants. Mitch Trubisky is set to start at quarterback for Saturday’s matchup.
McDermott stated, “Other starters on both the defense and offense will play ‘give or take’ one quarter.” The game, which is the Bills’ only home preseason contest, will be held at Highmark Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
The team provided no further details regarding lineup changes or player availability for the remainder of the preseason.
