Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) has been recognized by the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) with the “Friend of Farm Bureau” award for his continued support of New York’s agricultural sector. The award acknowledges DiPietro’s advocacy for farmers and rural communities during his time in the state Assembly.
DiPietro has received this honor every year since he began serving in office, highlighting his focus on policies that benefit agriculture and promote economic growth. He represents a district that includes the southern part of Erie County and all of Wyoming County, areas with significant agricultural activity, according to his official website.
In a statement, DiPietro said, “I am honored to once again receive the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Friend of Farm Bureau award. New York’s farmers are up before dawn; they represent our rural economies and put food on our tables. It has been my privilege to fight for their priorities every session. I will continue working to support our farmers, reduce burdensome regulations and ensure New York is a leader in agriculture nationally.”
Throughout his legislative career, DiPietro has supported protections for local agriculture as well as pro-life causes, contributing to community and family advocacy (source). He has also worked on issues such as Second Amendment rights and tax reductions aimed at helping small businesses and family farms (source).
DiPietro serves as Ranking Minority Member on the Small Business Committee and holds the position of Minority Whip (source). His background includes managing Sparkle Cleaners, a family-owned dry cleaning business which he expanded through new locations and accounts (source). He holds a degree in business administration.
His efforts have focused on championing constitutional freedoms, reducing taxes to encourage economic development, protecting local farms, and supporting initiatives important to families within his district (source).
