Dave DiPietro marks Vietnam veterans’ day and honors local achievements

Dave DiPietro, Assemblymember for New York’s 147th district, recently posted a series of messages on social media highlighting community events and commemorations.

On March 29, 2026, DiPietro recognized Vietnam War veterans in a message marking their service and sacrifice. He wrote, “On this solemn day, we honor the lives of those who sacrificed ‘their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor…’ in the Vietnam War. May the memories of these veterans be held in esteem throughout history. ‘When the soldiers came home from Vietnam, there were no parades,” (March 29, 2026).

On April 1, 2026, DiPietro attended the Erie County Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs Annual Awards and Installation Banquet. He stated, “The Erie County Federation of Sportsman’s Clubs held their Annual Awards and Installation Banquet where I was pleased to be able to present NYS Assembly Certificates of Merit to all the worthy individuals pictured. As Assemblymember for the 147th district of New York State, I” (April 1, 2026).

Later that same day, he congratulated St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Elma on its groundbreaking ceremony after a fire destroyed its previous sanctuary. DiPietro posted: “Congratulations to the congregation at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Elma on your groundbreaking ceremony! After the devastating fire, the community is happy to see work begin on a new sanctuary which will bless and enrich the lives on many people!” (April 1, 2026).

According to his official biography, DiPietro has advocated for local agriculture protections and pro-life causes as part of his legislative priorities (source). His efforts have also included support for Second Amendment rights and tax reductions aimed at assisting small businesses (source). In addition to serving as Ranking Minority Member on the Small Business Committee and as Minority Whip (source), DiPietro represents southern Erie County and all of Wyoming County (source). He has championed constitutional freedoms while promoting economic growth through lower taxes (source) and managed Sparkle Cleaners as part of his business career (source).
