Daemen tops Saint Michael’s 85-62 in NCAA Division II basketball tournament opener

On Sunday, March 15, former St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute standout Jaymeir Goosby and his team, the Daemen Wildcats, earned an 85-62 victory over the Saint Michael’s Purple Knights in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The matchup, held at Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m., marked the Wildcats’ first contest against the Saint Michael’s Purple Knights in tournament play.

Daemen is set to compete again on Tuesday, March 17, at 7 p.m. at Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium.
