The Buffalo Sabres will play the Boston Bruins at KeyBank Center on March 25 as they begin a stretch of seven home games in their final eleven matchups of the 2025-26 regular season. The game is set for a 7:30 p.m. start.
This game comes as the Sabres return from a successful road trip, having earned seven out of eight possible points. With playoff hopes high and only weeks remaining before postseason play, Buffalo has seen strong support with eleven consecutive sellout crowds at home.
Coach Lindy Ruff said, “Coming back from a long trip, you always fear that first game, to get settled in,” referencing concerns about regaining momentum after travel. Despite this challenge, the team has posted a 6-1-0 record in first games back from multi-game road trips this season and holds an overall home record of 22-9-3.
Goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will start against Boston. He has recorded six wins and one loss since the break with a .935 save percentage and is undefeated against the Bruins since last season. Defenseman Mattias Samuelsson returns to play after missing practice due to illness, while Conor Timmins re-enters the lineup for his first appearance since December following his activation off injured reserve.
Recent statistics highlight strong performances by key players: Rasmus Dahlin is plus-19 with seventeen points over his last twelve games; Owen Power recently set a career high with his eighth goal; Noah Ostlund’s contributions have coincided with an impressive team record when he scores.
The visiting Bruins arrive following a loss to Toronto and currently hold the first wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. Backup goaltender Joonas Korpisalo is expected to start against Buffalo after Jeremy Swayman played Tuesday night. The Sabres have won their last three home games versus Boston by wide margins.
