The Buffalo Sabres have reached an agreement with forward Jake Leschyshyn, signing him to a one-year, two-way contract. The announcement was made by the team on Tuesday.

Leschyshyn, who is 26 years old, recorded 24 points last season while playing for the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League (AHL). He scored 13 goals and had 11 assists over 69 games. The Hartford Wolf Pack serves as the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers.

Leschyshyn was selected in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights. Since making his NHL debut during the 2021-22 season, he has appeared in a total of 77 games for both the Golden Knights and Rangers.
