The Buffalo Sabres announced on April 8 the rosters for the 20th Scotty Bowman Showcase, which will be held on Monday, April 13 at KeyBank Center.
The event is an annual series of three all-star hockey games featuring high school-aged players from Buffalo and Rochester. Tickets are priced at $10 and can be purchased at the KeyBank Center box office.
According to the announcement, the first game will start at 5 p.m. and will see high school juniors from both cities compete for the Tim Horton Memorial Cup. The second game is scheduled for 7 p.m., where seniors from each city will play for the Scotty Bowman Cup. This cup, as well as the event itself, is named after Scotty Bowman, recognized as the winningest coach in National Hockey League history.
A third game will take place at 9 p.m., featuring players from both cities who participate in prep school or junior hockey either locally or elsewhere. These athletes will be divided into even teams to compete for the Rick Martin Memorial Cup.
