The Buffalo Sabres will host their first “Mascot Madness” event on Saturday, October 18, during their game against the Florida Panthers at KeyBank Center. The event will feature appearances by eight mascots from NHL teams and local sports organizations.

Doors to the arena will open at 11:30 a.m., with the game starting at 1 p.m. Fans attending the event can meet and take photos with mascots including Sabretooth (Buffalo Sabres), Billy Buffalo (Buffalo Bills), Buster Bison (Buffalo Bisons), The Moose (Rochester Americans), Rax (Buffalo Bandits), Sparky the Dragon (New York Islanders), Stanley C. Panther (Florida Panthers), Stormy (Carolina Hurricanes), and Victor E. Green (Dallas Stars).

Throughout the day, these mascots will be present in the arena, participating in activities on the ice during stoppages and interacting with fans.

The first 5,000 children who attend will receive a commemorative Sabretooth beanie.

Families have an option to purchase a Buffalo Family Pack presented by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. Each pack includes four tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips, and four 20-ounce Coca-Cola beverages for $199.

Special photo stations will be set up inside KeyBank Center. A giant Sabretooth balloon mosaic will serve as a backdrop on the 100 Level across from the 1970 Club, where out-of-town NHL mascots will make appearances between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. On the 300 Level between Aisles 1 and 2, there will be another photo opportunity featuring a Sabretooth cutout; local Western New York mascots are scheduled to appear there from noon to 12:30 p.m.

Additional activities include a mascot coloring station located in the Blue Zone, along with free face painting and airbrush tattoos for children.

“Sabretooth can’t wait to see you there!” according to organizers.
