U.S. Customs and Border Protection reminded travelers on March 12 to plan ahead when crossing into the United States through land border crossings.

The agency said that careful preparation can help make travel smoother for those entering the country. CBP encourages travelers to visit its official website for information on international travel and to follow its social media accounts for updates.

“Be sure to visit CBP.gov to help you travel smart when traveling internationally,” the agency said in a statement. Travelers are also encouraged to follow @CBPBuffalo and @DFOBuffalo on X for timely information.

CBP describes itself as America’s frontline, with more than 67,000 employees working across various environments including land, air, and sea. The agency enforces safe and lawful travel and trade while aiming to protect national security through innovation, intelligence, collaboration, and trust.

A complete list of local and regional CBP social media accounts is available for those seeking additional resources or updates.
