Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers will miss the remainder of the postseason after tearing his ACL during the team’s Wild Card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Sean McDermott announced on Tuesday.
“Tough loss, certainly praying for him,” McDermott said.
Shavers sustained the knee injury in the Wild Card game but returned to finish the contest. He made one catch for 14 yards and participated in more than half of Buffalo’s offensive snaps.
On Monday, McDermott indicated that Shavers’ injury was still being evaluated. Further tests confirmed a torn ACL a day later.
“Just amazing what he was able to do to come back in the game and play the way that he did,” McDermott shared.
Shavers played a larger role with Buffalo during the 2025 season after earning a spot on the 53-man roster at training camp. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games, totaling 23 receptions for 245 yards and one touchdown.
The team also reported Monday that wide receiver Gabe Davis suffered an ACL tear against Jacksonville.
To address injuries at wide receiver, Buffalo has opened up practice for Curtis Samuel this week. The Bills also have Mecole Hardman Jr., Kristian Wilkerson, and Stephen Gosnell available on their practice squad.
