The Buffalo Bills will host a halftime scrimmage and exhibition featuring the U.S. Women’s National Flag Football Team and the Canadian Women’s National Flag Football Team on Sunday, October 5, at Highmark Stadium. The event will take place during the Bills’ game against the New England Patriots.
This initiative is organized in collaboration with USA Football and Football Canada. According to the organization, “The Buffalo Bills are proud supporters of Flag Football participation, growth, and development in our community, both in the United States and Canada, and are thrilled to host this first-of-its-kind opportunity to highlight some of the best flag football players in the World in advance of the Flag Football Olympic debut during the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.”
On Sunday morning before the game, both national teams will visit West Seneca East High School from 10:00 a.m. to noon for a walkthrough practice session. During this time, they will also meet with local youth and high school girls flag football players from communities around Buffalo and Southern Ontario. Local media have been invited to attend.
Before kickoff at Highmark Stadium, members of both women’s teams will join former Bills players for a tailgate party on “Billevard.” They will then participate in pre-game activities by holding banners during player introductions on the field.
This event comes as flag football prepares for its Olympic debut at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.
The team rosters for both countries were included with the announcement.
