The Buffalo Bills announced on Apr. 25 that they selected offensive lineman Jude Bowry with the second pick in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, after trading down one spot with the Las Vegas Raiders to No. 102 and acquiring a seventh-round pick for next year.

Bowry, who played at Boston College from 2022 to 2025, brings size and versatility to Buffalo’s offensive line. He started in 23 out of his 31 collegiate games, primarily at left tackle but also making appearances at right tackle. Standing at six-foot-five and weighing 314 pounds, Bowry is recognized for his physical attributes including nearly eleven-inch hands and arms close to thirty-four inches long.

“Definitely a lot of athleticism, a lot of range,” Bowry said about himself. “You definitely will get some dog and some nastiness from me.” His performance earned him a spot on The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman’s “Freaks List” at No. 98 ahead of the 2025 season based on strong showings during the previous year. Feldman wrote: “In 2024, Bowry allowed only two sacks in 321 dropback snaps. Bowry’s athleticism has really impressed the staff… He achieved a peak velocity of 1.18 meters per second and a peak power of 2,610 watts while performing multiple sets of five reps on back squats with 435 pounds.”

Bowry said he is prepared to compete for any role needed by Buffalo—starter or backup, tackle or guard—and emphasized his readiness: “I treat every day like it’s another opportunity to get better. I’m ready. I’m ready to work for the Bills. I’m ready to get started.” He also mentioned watching film on current Bills players Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown as part of his preparation process: “I’m excited to get in the building, work with him and Brown… I’m ready to work with those guys [and] get better each and every day.”

Reflecting on his journey from St. Frances Academy through Boston College to now joining an NFL roster, Bowry highlighted both academic goals and football aspirations: “I just care about the process from St. Frances to Boston College, now to the pros… I got to be able to get my degree from a big university… also achieve my dream of going to the NFL.” After meeting new offensive line coach Pat Myers during workouts with Buffalo’s staff, he expressed gratitude for being drafted: “I know that it’s just the beginning,” Bowry said. “I’m just going to continue to work my butt off and try to give the best I got each and every day.”
