Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced that tight end Dalton Kincaid, wide receiver Curtis Samuel, and wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. will not play in Thursday night’s game against the Houston Texans due to injuries. Kincaid is dealing with a hamstring injury, Samuel has elbow and neck issues, and Hardman Jr. is sidelined with a calf injury. The announcement was made Wednesday morning on WGR550.

All three players did not participate in practice this week. The team held walk-through practices on Monday and Tuesday.

When asked about the long-term outlook for Samuel and Hardman Jr., McDermott stated there are no current concerns beyond this week. “We’re week to week at this point,” McDermott said of the two.

Defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis, who missed Monday’s practice with a shoulder injury, was limited during Tuesday and Wednesday’s sessions. He is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game.

Several other Buffalo players were limited earlier in the week but returned as full participants by Wednesday. These include cornerbacks Christian Benford (groin) and Taron Johnson (groin), safety Jordan Poyer (veteran rest), linebackers Terrel Bernard (ankle) and Dorian Williams (groin), defensive end Joey Bosa (wrist), defensive tackles DaQuan Jones (veteran rest) and Jordan Phillips (wrist), center Connor McGovern (ankle), and wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee/ankle).

Wide receiver Khalil Shakir missed all three practices this week due to personal reasons.
