The Buffalo Bills have re-signed offensive lineman Alec Anderson and defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis to one-year contracts, the team announced on Monday.
Alec Anderson was a restricted free agent entering the 2026 offseason. Since joining the Bills as an undrafted free agent from UCLA in 2022, Anderson has appeared in 39 games with six starts, including five postseason appearances. He played a significant role in the team’s six-offensive line formation during the 2024 season and demonstrated flexibility by playing both guard and tackle positions in 2025. As several members of Buffalo’s offensive line approach free agency, Anderson is expected to provide valuable depth.
Phidarian Mathis, who was an unrestricted free agent this offseason, will return for his second year with Buffalo and fifth NFL season overall. Mathis spent his first three seasons with Washington after being selected 47th overall in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. After appearing in 23 games for Washington, he was waived in December 2024. The Bills signed him to their practice squad on September 10, 2025; he went on to play six games last season and recorded 13 tackles.
