The Buffalo Bills announced on Tuesday that they have released linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo from the active roster and cornerback Jalen Kimber from the practice squad.
Ciarlo, who was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on October 4, did not play in the team’s Week 6 game against Atlanta. Kimber joined Buffalo’s practice squad on October 7.
The Bills are currently in their bye week and are scheduled to play against Carolina on October 26.
The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Ottawa Senators and missed an immediate chance to clinch a playoff spot. Their next opportunity comes Saturday against Washington as they remain tied with Tampa Bay atop their division.
The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenseman Maxim Strbak to a three-year entry-level contract starting in the 2026-27 season. Strbak played college hockey at Michigan State University and has represented Slovakia internationally.
Kyle Buchanan led with six points as Buffalo defeated Rochester for its seventh straight win. The victory included milestone achievements for several players amid key lineup changes. Team awards were also announced before an enthusiastic home crowd.
