Football Ontario has announced a multi-year partnership with the Buffalo Bills, an NFL team, to promote football in Ontario. The agreement is set to last until March 2027 and aims to increase participation and enhance athlete development throughout the province.

Aaron Geisler, Chief Executive Officer of Football Ontario, said, “This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for Football Ontario to align with an iconic NFL franchise that shares our vision for community development and growing the game at every level. The Buffalo Bills’ investment and engagement in Ontario football will create a lasting impact for athletes, coaches, and families across the province.”

The Buffalo Bills will be involved in several key Football Ontario events. These include the 2025 Fall Cup Provincial Championships scheduled for November 15 at Pine Ridge High School in Pickering, and the 2025 Metro Bowl on November 19 at Varsity Centre in Toronto. In addition, they will participate in the 2026 High School Girls Flag Provincial Championships and other future events.

Kate Hussmann, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of the Buffalo Bills, stated, “Football Ontario is a leader in the Canadian football community and this partnership underscores our shared mission of making football accessible to all through tackle and flag football development programs, events, and initiatives. While the passion for the Bills throughout Canada is already tangible, we want to ensure the next generation of potential football fans has the opportunity to fall in love with the sport, and we are excited to work alongside Football Ontario to improve access to and grow the game of football throughout Southern Ontario.”

The collaboration includes plans for youth clinics focused on both tackle and flag football across regions such as Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Niagara. The Buffalo Bills will also have a presence on Football Ontario’s communication platforms. A yearly Bills-branded 50/50 raffle will support local clubs within Ontario. Members can expect branded promotions, giveaways, and other engagement opportunities as part of this partnership.

Football Ontario describes itself as the provincial governing body responsible for organizing football activities across Ontario. The organization emphasizes transparency, growth, alignment, excellence, and aims to provide programming opportunities for all members statewide.
