The Buffalo Bills Foundation, in partnership with Wegmans, held its annual Huddle for Hunger initiative in 2025, setting a new record for food donations. The campaign collected 65,100 pounds of food for FeedMore WNY and its network of nearly 400 hunger-relief partners across Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties. This figure surpassed the previous record by over 27,000 pounds.
During the Community Food Drive & Festival on September 30, contributions included 25,414 pounds collected at the stadium. Other notable donations came from Lactalis (31,000 pounds), Snapdragon (345 pounds), Allen Farms (1,786 pounds), and Wegmans (6,562 pounds).
On October 3, the Bills Foundation hosted a food drive at the Jamestown vs. Bennett High School football game as part of Rivalries Week. Fans who donated nonperishable food items received Buffalo Bills Rivalries tote bags. The event gathered an additional 1,030 pounds of food.
Game day against the New England Patriots on October 5 saw $171,656 raised for 20 Huddle for Hunger charities. Of this amount, $121,656 came from the 50/50 Game Day Raffle and $50,000 was donated by Wegmans Meals 2 Go. During pregame ceremonies, the Bills Foundation recognized students and staff from Frontier, Cattaraugus-Little Valley, and Alden High Schools for their participation in the Huddle for Hunger Challenge.
On October 7, the Bills Foundation and Wegmans visited Buffalo Public School #61 as part of their support for Grassroots Gardens WNY. Students participated in gardening activities alongside members of the Bills organization. Grassroots Gardens WNY is a charity supported by the Huddle for Hunger initiative that helps establish and maintain community gardens to strengthen local connections.
“Grassroots Gardens WNY, a Buffalo Bills Huddle for Hunger charity, is a collective of activists, gardeners, and neighbors, facilitating the creation and maintenance of community gardens and other public green spaces as a means of healing systemic harm and strengthening community connections,” according to the organization.
