The Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres Foundations have announced that the fifth annual Give 716 event has successfully raised $1,443,689. The funds will benefit charitable organizations in Western New York.
The fundraising effort involved individual donors and local business partners who contributed from 7:16 p.m. on July 15 through July 16. More than 500 charities based in Western New York benefited from the donations this year.
“Give 716 continues to show the power of this community,” said Michelle Roberts of the Bills Foundation and Rich Jureller of the Sabres Foundation. “Bills and Sabres fans once again stepped up in a big way to support the incredible charities that make a difference across Western New York.”
Special recognition was given to partner organizations such as Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Wegmans, M&T Bank, KeyBank, New Era, Legends, WIVB News 4, 26 Shirts, Audacy, and WGR for their contributions through power hours, grants, and creative promotions.
The goal of Give 716 is to unite Bills and Sabres fans with the Western New York community for a significant day of giving. Since its inception in 2021, the initiative has raised over $5.8 million.
