The Buffalo Bills have added veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks to their active roster ahead of Week 13. The team announced the signing after Cooks became a free agent earlier this month.

Cooks, who has played in the NFL for 12 years, was released by the New Orleans Saints on November 22. After clearing waivers, he was eligible to sign with any team and chose to join Buffalo. This move marks the sixth NFL team for Cooks since entering the league.

Originally selected by the Saints as the 20th overall pick in the 2014 draft, Cooks has accumulated 9,697 receiving yards and scored 60 touchdowns over his career. He averages 13.3 yards per catch.

Cooks also brings playoff experience to Buffalo’s receiver group. In seven postseason games, he has three performances with more than 100 receiving yards—one with the New England Patriots in 2018 and two with the Los Angeles Rams in 2019.
