The Buffalo Bills have signed kicker Caden Davis to a one-year contract, adding depth to their preseason roster. The move comes as starting kicker Tyler Bass has missed recent training camp practices due to a pelvic injury. Davis is expected to handle place kicking duties if Bass is unable to play in the upcoming game against the New York Giants.

Davis joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets earlier this year. He played college football at Texas A&M from 2019 to 2022 before transferring to Ole Miss for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. While at Ole Miss, he set a school record by making four field goals of 50 yards or more.

Davis will wear jersey number 36 for the Bills.

To make room on the roster, Buffalo released wide receiver Kelly Akharaiyi.
