Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott provided an injury update before Sunday’s training camp session at St. John Fisher University, outlining the status of several players.

McDermott announced that wide receiver Khalil Shakir and first-round cornerback Maxwell Hairston are both considered “week-to-week” due to injuries. Shakir sustained a high ankle sprain during Friday’s Return of the Blue & Red practice.

“He’s dealt with one before, he’s extremely tough… it’s going to take some time,” McDermott said about Shakir.

Regarding Hairston, McDermott explained that although the rookie avoided a serious knee injury last week, he will still be sidelined for an extended period.

“It’s going to take some time. He’s week to week,” McDermott said.

In addition to Shakir and Hairston, several other players will miss Sunday’s practice. The list includes offensive linemen Alec Anderson and Sedrick Van Pran-Granger; safety Cole Bishop; linebacker Dorian Williams; wide receivers Curtis Samuel, Kaden Prather, and Joshua Palmer; linebacker Shaq Thompson; kicker Tyler Bass; safety Taylor Rapp; and fullback Reggie Gilliam.

Linebacker Terrel Bernard and right tackle Spencer Brown will participate in practice but on a limited basis.
