The Buffalo Bills announced on Mar. 10 that they have reached an agreement with tight end Dawson Knox on a new contract, extending his tenure with the team through the 2028 season.
The move keeps a key offensive player in Buffalo as the team looks to maintain stability and production at the tight end position. Knox has been a consistent contributor since joining the Bills in 2019, recording 229 catches for 2,694 yards and 27 touchdowns over seven seasons.
In the 2025 season, Knox had his best performance since 2022, ranking third on the team in receiving yards with 417, tying for second in touchdowns with four, and finishing fourth in targets at 49. His reliability has made him a favored target for quarterback Josh Allen. Since entering the league, Knox ranks seventh among tight ends in touchdown receptions.
Knox is part of a trio of tight ends for Buffalo that includes Pro Bowl selection Dalton Kincaid and second-year player Jackson Hawes. The group helped Buffalo achieve the second-highest total among all teams in both reception yards by tight ends (1,210) and touchdowns (12).
Earlier this offseason, general manager Brandon Beane addressed reporters about his desire to keep Knox on the roster if possible. “We’d be crazy not to want a Dawson Knox back. We know we have to make it work for him and work for us,” Beane said during the NFL Combine.
With this agreement finalized, Knox will continue wearing No. 88 for Buffalo into the next season.
