The Buffalo Bills have announced several roster moves ahead of their upcoming joint practice and preseason game against the Chicago Bears. The team is adding defensive end Nelson Ceaser, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 254 pounds. Ceaser is entering his second season in the NFL, having initially signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2024. Earlier this year, he played in the United Football League for both the DC Defenders and San Antonio Brahamas.

Before starting his professional career, Ceaser played five years at Houston, where he had a notable final season in 2023. That year, he earned First-team All-Big 12 honors after recording 9.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss.

In related roster moves, wide receiver Jalen Virgil and defensive end Justin Hollins were waived/injured by the Bills.

Additionally, the team signed tight end Matt Sokol on Thursday evening.
