Several sports analysts have released their latest mock drafts ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, offering predictions on which players the Buffalo Bills may select. The projections, published between March 19 and March 30 by outlets such as ESPN, NFL.com, CBS Sports, Bleacher Report, Sharp Football Analysis, and The Athletic, suggest a range of positions that could be targeted by the team.
The mock drafts indicate that wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. from Indiana is a possible pick at No. 26 due to his reliability and experience both inside and outside the slot. Matt Miller from ESPN said Cooper is “dependable with great hands — only three drops on 94 targets last season — and the physicality to run through contact before and after the catch.” Other analysts see edge rusher Keldrick Faulk from Auburn as another option for bolstering pass-rush pressure.
Linebacker CJ Allen from Georgia is also mentioned in multiple projections. Bucky Brooks of NFL.com described Allen as someone whose “instincts, awareness and thump will set the tone for Buffalo’s revamped defensive lineup.” Field Yates of ESPN suggested a trade scenario where the Bills move back eight spots but still secure Allen: “Allen is the second-best linebacker in my rankings; he’s a physical player with good range and ability to spot drop into coverage. He added 3.5 sacks in 2025, too.”
Other prospects linked to Buffalo include wide receiver Denzel Boston (Washington), edge rusher Cashius Howell (Texas A&M), offensive tackle Kaydn Proctor (Alabama), and defensive tackle Kayden McDonald (Ohio State). Several analysts note that Howell could provide much-needed speed off the edge for Buffalo’s defense. Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic said Howell “tied for the quickest 10-yard split at the 2026 NFL Combine among edge rushers at 1.58 seconds,” adding that consistent pass rush has been an issue since Josh Allen became quarterback.
The various predictions reflect ongoing discussions about how best to address needs on both offense and defense following recent roster changes for Buffalo.
