Of the 949,715 citizens living in Erie County in 2021, 79.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 755,981 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 363,621 were male, constituting 48.1%, and 392,360 were female, making up 51.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Erie County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79%.
